The Financial Analyst will develop, interpret and implement financial concepts for financial planning and control. Reporting to the Divisional Controller, this position performs technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance - including gathering and organizing business case inputs for two locations.
Financial analyst responsibilities include financial reporting, budget and forecast analysis, and divisional operational analysis.
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
Minimum 3 to 5 years related experience
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, practices and chart of accounts
Understanding of A/P, A/R, general ledger, and fixed asset systems and technologies
Proficient in the use of personal computers using Microsoft Office Suite products; including Excel
Demonstrated ability to be a team player and lead a team to develop and achieve department and project goals
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with all levels of management and staff
Ability to develop and maintain strong and effective relationships with external parties
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work in order to meet deadlines
Effective organizational and project management skills
Strong attention to written detail
Ability to cope with pressure and timelines
Solid understanding of finance principles and methodologies
Strong Excel skills
